For quite some considerable time now Dance4sport has monitored Forums from the danceworld and one of the largest subjects that appears time and time again is that of competitions and events that are run by promoters. These have highlighted the general concern by dancers as to how well or how bad a competition or event is, and that there appears to be no rating system in place. For example EADA chart competitions are allocated to a number of promoters throughout the year and range from events that are very well organised to those that are to say the least diplorable. EADA offer a competition feedback form for competitors to give there views on how a competition was run, but unfortunately they do not publish any form of results, that is why as a fully independant organisation Dance4sport will be publishing a competition and events listing with results on how that event was run, this will be by way of polls published for each competition and event and who the promoters where. This should then highlight which competitions and events give good or bad value for money and which promoters events it is worth attending. As with all forms of business, continuos poor quality service should be brought to the attention of its customers and should not be tolerated, you can then make the decision as to whether you wish to support and attend those events. We ask all dancers who attend a competition or event to please vote in our polls as this will give a general consensus of the views of all of the dancers who attended a particular event. |
